Situated in Zanesville, Ohio, Zane State College is a two year technical college offering many different degrees and certificate programs. Since 1969, the purpose of Zane has been to teach students specific skills for a certain work field, but the credits are accepted by many four year colleges in the region. For example, the school’s Associate of Arts degree can be easily transferred to other four year universities.

The business programs that are offered include accounting, business management, culinary arts, paralegal, and marketing management. The health programs that are available are medical assistant, occupational therapy assistant, physical therapist assistant, sports and fitness management, radiology technology, health information management and medical laboratory.

This is where most of the athletic and fitness minded students gather in leisure time and for physical education. Herrold Hall, which features a collection of more than 75,000 books and printed materials, is a major educational resource center at the small university.
